Clean Dogs and Frosty Paws

Dirty dog? Pack him or her up and head over to the Jersey Shore Animal Center’s dog wash events. For a mere $10 your furry pal will be bathed, brushed, and towel dried by JSAC’s dedicated volunteers. Dog washes will be held from 12-3 p.m. July 30 and 31, August 27 and 28, and September 24 and 25 at JSAC, 185 Brick Blvd., Brick. All proceeds benefit the animals at JSAC.

If you’re feeling the heat, cool off at one of the ice cream socials being hosted by Eleventh Hour Rescue and St. Hubert’s. The $5 admission ($4 for kids) at Eleventh Hour’s event gets you access to a make-your-own sundae bar (with Frosty Paws for the dogs!). There will also be a Wizard of Oz costume contest, games, 50/50 raffles, tricky trays, and live entertainment. Proceeds benefit Eleventh Hour Rescue and their work to find homes for dogs on death row. The social will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Pawsitive Experience, 14 Beach St., Rockaway on August 6.

On August 10, St. Hubert’s will host their final ice cream social of the season, featuring Edy’s Grand ice cream with an assortment of toppings and, of course, Frosty Paws. Cost is $5 per adult, $3 per child, $2 per dog and all proceeds benefit St. Hubert’s. The Social will be hosted from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center, 575 Woodland Ave., Madison.
