NVision Arts Festival

July 26, 2011

By Brianne Harrison Moore

Some people might complain about “kids today,” but I doubt even the most virulently anti-teen adults could find much fault with the NVision Youth Arts Festival, which was organized by Bergen County teens to showcase their peers’ talent. From noon to 7 p.m. this Saturday, more than 20 teen artists will dance, perform music, and exhibit paintings and artwork in a variety of media. Fifteen local bands will play a range of music styles that runs from soul to punk to acoustic throughout the day.

This isn’t just a day for the teens performing and exhibiting. Attendees are encouraged to get into the artistic spirit by painting their faces or having fun with their outfits, and they’re also urged to take advantage of all the park has to offer, from bike trails to a solar carousel.

NVision will be held rain or shine at Overpeck Park, 75 Challenger Road, Ridgefield. For more information, visit nvisionfestival.webs.com.
