Pet Festival

September 2, 2011

By Brianne Harrison Moore

The economy has been rough on just about everyone; pet owners, of course, are no exception. Many have had to give up their pets altogether, while others have had to make the difficult decision of whether or not to attend to a pet’s medical needs when there are household bills to pay and money is especially tight. With these struggles in mind, Coalition for Animals and Seer Farms are hosting their second annual Pet Festival Fundraiser on September 17 to raise money to assist pet owners with veterinary and other costs required to take care of their fuzzy companions.

The family friendly event will include pet contests and photography, a wine tasting, live music, Ask the Vet session with Belle Mead Animal Hospital, raffles and giveaways, local animal rescue groups, and more. Kids can get their faces painted or bounce around in the Dog Belly bouncer while grownups take a stroll through Unionville Vineyards and enjoy food and desserts by Loving Hut and Frank’s Italian Ices.

The Festival will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Unionville Vineyards in Ringoes. Tickets are $15 in advance, $25 at the gate. For more information, visit seerfarms.org.
