Cooking for Kids

Chefs from all over New Jersey will gather for the Fourth Annual Cooking for Kids: Gourmet Fare from Everywhere event on May 2. Also appearing with the state’s top chefs will be author, restaurateur, and TV personality Lidia Bastianich and award-winning journalist, restaurant critic, and author Teresa Politano.

Participating chefs include Scott Anderson of elements in Princeton, Humberto Campos of Restaurant Lorena’s in Maplewood, Scott Cutaneo, Ryan Depersio of Fasciano in Montclair and Bar Cara in Bloomfield, Ariane Duarte of CulinAriane in Montclair, James Laird of Restaurant Serenade in Chatham, John Benjamin of Restaurant Latour at Crystal Spring in Vernon, Michael Carrino of Restaurant Passionné in Montclair, and bakers from Carlo’s Bakery in Hoboken. Chefs will offer tastings of some of their signature dishes, and there will also be wine and beer tastings and a silent auction.

Cooking for Kids will take place at the Sheraton Meadowlands Hotel in East Rutherford. The event kicks off with a VIP reception at 6, with general admission beginning at 6:30.
