Lexli Skincare

Spring is a transitional period, and for some of us, that means transitioning to a new skincare regimen. Different weather means new demands (and, sometimes, new problems). If you’re lucky, you’ve already found and stashed your favorite products, but those of us looking for something new are facing an expensive (and potentially wasteful) situation.

The kind people at Lexli International apparently took this dilemma to heart when they pulled together their skincare line, which is made from super nourishing organic aloe vera: it’s available in a convenient 30-day starter kit, which includes small sizes of their whole line (it’s also great for travel, if you’re on the road a lot).

Lexli was developed by Dr. Ahmed Abdulla, a board-certified plastic surgeon who was one of the first to use pharmaceutical-grade aloe to treat skin damage such as burns, scars, and lesions. The numerous vitamins and nutrients in aloe vera have been known to help moisturize dry skin, keep it healthy and flexible, and heal damage.

Lexli’s line includes a cleansing lotion; a renewing exfoliant that combines aloe vera, glycolic acid, and vitamin C to remove dead skin cells and promote collagen production; a toner; and both a day and a night moisturizer (the day moisturizer has added SPF 15 to protect from UVB and UVA rays). All the products were light, non-drying, and effective, even on my difficult skin.

The starter kit retails for $84, and each component can be purchased separately at select spas, doctors’ offices, and salons. Visit lexli.com for a list of participating retailers.
