Chocoholics Unite!

January 25, 2011

By Brianne Harrison Moore

Let’s be honest—have you ever met anyone who didn’t at least like chocolate? I know I haven’t, and speaking for myself, I’m definitely looking forward to the 8th Annual Allure of Chocolate event, which will be held this Sunday, January 30, at the New Jersey Museum of Agriculture in North Brunswick from 1 to 4 p.m.

The afternoon will kick off with a presentation on the history of chocolate, followed by demonstrations of chocolate recipes and creations by food historian Susan Luczu, taste testing, and refreshments that include a chocolate dessert buffet and beverages. You can even enter to win door prizes.

Tickets are $25 and advance registration is recommended. Proceeds from the event benefit the Historic Village of Old Bridge Community Group and the NJ Museum of Agriculture. Visit attheheart.com to download a registration flyer. The NJ Museum of Agriculture is located at 103 College Farm Road in North Brunswick. For directions, visit agriculturemuseum.org.
