Pedal for a Cure

November 9, 2010

By Brianne Harrison

There probably isn’t a person alive who doesn’t want to see a cure for breast cancer. In any given week, there are dozens if not hundreds of events around the country to raise funds for a cure. This weekend is no exception, and locally, Life Time Fitness will host Pedal for a Cure from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, November 14.

Pedal for a Cure is an indoor spinning extravaganza featuring music and master spinning instructors. Sign up individually or as part of a team to purchase a bike in one-hour increments. Each hour is $100, and an extra $25 allows you to sponsor a bike in honor of or memory of a loved one afflicted with cancer. Beginners and master spinners alike can get fit, burn calories, and raise money for a cure—now that’s what I call a win-win!

To register, visit pedalforacure.com. Participants must bring along a completed fitness waiver to take part in the classes. Pedal for a Cure will be held at Life Time Fitness, 14 Fernwood Rd. Florham Park, lifetimefitness.com. Funds raised from the event will be donated to Susan G. Komen and the LTF Foundation.
