It’s In the Bag

October 15, 2010

By Brianne Harrison

A year (and a whole other blog) ago, I reported on a charity called Harry’s Bag, which was started by Lambertville business owner Doreen Phillips in honor of her late Scottie, Harry. Despite the economic downturn, Harry’s Bag is still going strong, and on October 22, it will host its very first event: It’s in the Bag.

The evening will feature goodies from Lilly’s on the Canal, a grab bag full of gifts donated by local businesses, and door prizes that include a personalized pet portrait by artist Judy Henn and a $1500 Prada bag.

All the proceeds from the event will be donated to Animal Alliance in Lambertville and to a local man named Angelo, whose beloved dog Migs is in need of treatment for cancer. Come out and and enjoy a fun-filled evening while supporting these wonderful causes!

It’s in the Bag will be held on Friday, October 22 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Robins Egg Gallery, 24 Church St., Lambertville. If you can’t make the event, consider rummaging through your closet for good condition, resellable vintage bags, which No. 63 in Lambertville sells to support Harry’s Bag. Swing by the shop at 10 N. Union St. in Lambertville to drop them off.
