Spring is traditionally a time of new beginnings, and maybe you’re looking around your house or garden right now and thinking that it’s time for a change. But where to begin?

There’s inspiration galore at the 5th Designer Showhouse of New Jersey, which opens April 25 and runs through June 6. More than two dozen of the state’s top interior and exterior designers have gathered to transform the house and property into a showcase of the latest design trends.

The Showhouse will host a preview party Saturday, April 24 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. The party will feature cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and music. Tickets are $225 each. The Showhouse officially opens to the public the following day.

The opening party isn’t the only special event at the Showhouse this year. On April 26, the Donna Sanzari Health & Wellness Center will host a luncheon with guest speaker Lisa Oz, author of Transforming Ourselves and the Relationships that Matter Most. The $40 admission fee includes a light lunch and a tour of the house. On April 29, the Greek Children’s Fund will host a wine and cheese party benefiting the Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital at Hackensack University Medical Center. The HUMC Auxiliary Spring Luncheon will honor Donna A. Sanzari on May 3, the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of the Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital will host a luncheon on May 17, and the Maureen Fund will host a garden party and tea on May 20.

The Showhouse is located at 4 High Meadow Rd. in Saddle River. Proceeds from the Showhouse will benefit the Hackensack University Medical Center Foundation. Please note that children under 6, pets, and strollers are not permitted in the Showhouse.
